Costa Rica opens new retail outlet at the country’s biggest farm store

Costa Rica opened a new retail store at its largest farm store this week, the country said.

Costa Rica, the world’s fourth-largest producer of strawberries and blueberries, said it had signed a five-year agreement with the company Costa Rica Produce to open a retail store in the capital, Managua.

Costas produce was imported by the United States and has been exported by the U.S. and Canada.

The store will sell strawberries, blueberries and mangoes, with prices starting from 25 to 35 cents a kilo, Costa Rica Agriculture Minister Roberto V. Gallegos said in a statement.

Costra Rica also will be selling produce from the countrys biggest farm, the Managuan Agricultural Research Center, with the first two items, strawberries and bananas, selling for 80 cents a kg, according to the Costa Rican Ministry of Agriculture.

The retail outlet will be the third in Costa Rica, which has a population of 1.1 million.
