Which players will be injured during the Europa League Final?
Football Italian is reporting that Italy’s squad will be unable to face the hosts of the Europa Final at the San Siro after injuries to both players forced them to withdraw from the tournament.
The Serie A giants were forced to make the decision to take the players off the field after both Giorgio Chiellini and Antonio Rudiger suffered injuries in the first half of their 3-2 win over Fiorentina.
In total, 19 players have been injured during Italy’s 3-0 win over the Italian giants, including Milan striker Alessandro Florenzi who suffered a broken leg.
“We have to make a decision for the next few days,” Milan’s technical director Giorgia Motta said.
Chiellinis, Rudiger, Leonardo Bonucci, Alessandro Del Piero, Marco Verratti, Simone Zaza, Giorgiano Bonucci and Giuseppe Rossi have all left the field with injuries.
According to a report by Tuttosport, Andrea Barzagli will be sidelined for the remainder of the match due to a calf problem, while Juventus’ Leonardo Bonaventura has been diagnosed with a calf strain.
Elsewhere, Juventus’ Andrea Barragli is set to miss out on the final due to his calf problem.
Milans Antonio Rudi and Giorgi Chiello are also out with injuries, while Andrea Belotti, Andrea Rizzo, Giambi Di Marzio, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Mario Calcio, Mauro Icardi and Francesco Totti have been ruled out of the tournament for their respective injuries.
The report also claims that Napoli defender Federico Macheda will be out of action for several weeks due to the stress of the injury.
