‘It’s a very, very, special day’: ‘Bishop’ celebrates pumpkin farm with church
A special day for the bishops pumpkin crop is here.
Bishop Anthony Smith, who serves on the U.S. bishops committee that approves crops for distribution to churches, said Sunday that the harvest will be held from Thursday to Monday, when he said “the harvest has been very productive.”
“It’s always a celebration, but it’s also a time for reflection, and it’s a time to remember the past, to celebrate the successes of the past,” he said, according to the Associated Press.
“And we hope to see you on the pumpkin fields again on this harvest, so to speak.”
He added, “We are very proud of what we have achieved.”
“We’ve worked very hard and we’ve had a lot of good days, so it’s good to see that all the hard work pays off and we are seeing some success,” Smith said.
“We have worked very, well, in a short period of time, and we’re very pleased that we are going to be able to deliver that product for the people.”
