Aurora Farms: The Next-Gen Dairy Business with $7.4B in Market Share
Aurora Farms, a Minnesota dairy company, announced Monday it will add another $5 billion in market share in the next three years, putting it in the same tier as the likes of Whole Foods, Costco and Walmart.
The company said it expects to achieve total market share of 20.4 percent in 2020 and 25.4 in 2021.
Aurora said the additional growth in market shares is due in part to a shift in customers and an increase in the number of farms in operation.
“As more farmers have come online, so too has our business model,” said Mike Kagan, Aurora’s chief financial officer.
“In addition to expanding the Aurora brand, we are also building a much larger dairy herd and have recently added a new production facility.”
The company also announced it will spend $1.9 billion to expand the Aurora farm in rural Wisconsin, where it operates five farms.
