But the average cost of a policy is still $1,300, according the most recent analysis of federal farm insurance data.

About 60 percent of all farmers in the U.S. receive subsidies to cover their insurance costs.

But in some states, the average policy price for farmers is nearly $1.5 million, the new analysis by the U
